"Designing a browsing project is a lot like creating a work of art, or dancing; a number of project elements are coordinated to achieve a goal."   We invite you to participate in this process.

Project design, based on site specific goals and conditions, begins with information YOU provide.  Good project design, followed by good project management leads to healthy landscapes, healthy animals and satisfied customers.

• When creating a browsing goal and plan for a site, we start with a landscape goal defined by the land owner.  Answer this question, 
• "What do you want the site to look like in 5-years?".
• Other project design considerations include:
•  
• plants species present
• topography and elevation
• climate and weather
• water and soils
• current, previous and adjacent land use
• project timing
• livestock management
• and other factors    

Landowners are a partners in browsing projects . . . the things we need from you
To help us better serve you, please be prepared to provide the following information regarding conditions at your site conditions: 

• Map of project and surrounding area
• Land use at site and adjacent land uses
• Number of acres to be browsed
• Type and density of plant(s) to be controlled
• Exclusion areas: mapped location of plants or areas excluded in relation to target plants
•  Water availability & access
• Terrain
• Livestock loading area and access to loading areas

Don't worry if you don't have all of the information, we can offer suggestions, or help find answers. 

Site visits
While many conditions are similar from site to site, each site is unique.  We are happy to your evaluate your site and make recommendations for a custom browsing project after conducting a site visit.  Project charges, billed at $30.00/hr. plus mileage, apply for site visits.  This charge will be deducted from the cost of your final project.  Please contact us to discuss the specifics of your project area and details for scheduling a site visit.
