Livestock Guardians for Sale
We breed dogs to meet demands of the working conditions we encounter--conditions likely to be encountered throughout the West. We need strong animals that can navigate steep, densely vegetated terrain, in hot, dry summer conditions and cold, wet winter conditions. We want their coats to insulate from cold, heat and sharp seed heads.
Working conditions in wildland settings demand our dogs be structurally correct, healthy, athletic, pleasant to work with, and bonded to their livestock. Our dogs are, however, equally confident and effective in situations that place them closer to more intensive urban activities.

Beyond great genetics, the best preparation a young guardian can have
is to work with experienced guardians.
We do not "train" our guardians but facilitate natural behaviors. We like to keep our pups until they are at least three months old, longer if you let us, so they can be introduced to working conditions with mature guardians. It is important to note, guardians are not considered mature until two years old. Please don't expect a puppy to do the job of an adult guardian.
Unregistered purebred Anatolians, with slick tan short double coats. Layla is a calm, capable, large framed working guardian; a gentle mom, who produces beautiful offspring.
More finely built than Layla, Cody is an observant, quick reflexed and sensitive worker who loves his job guarding does and kids. Layla & Cody were bred by the Miller Ranch in Cedar Tree, MS.
We've worked with these dogs and their offspring for years, and they have never let us down. Hannah is a athletic Pyr selected for her shorter-than-normal coat and her wonderful disposition. She comes from a goat ranch in Washington where she proved herself as a great fence dog, with an easy temperament, but still a force to be reckoned with.
Leo is an Anatolian x Marrema & Akbash cross, bred on a large southern California goat ranch. He is a no nonsense worker, built for power and speed. Leo and Hannah pups are excellent workers with great temperaments. They often have striking black and white markings on short to moderate length double coats.
